The Semina Verbi (latin for "Seeds of the Word") wiki is an idea of Father John R. D'Orazio, a priest in the Diocese of Rome, Italy. The technical platform with wikipedia:MediaWiki software was first created in the months between April 2020 and September 2020. The necessary lockdown caused by the wikipedia:COVID-19 pandemic contributed to the circumstances that were favourable to dedicating time and energy towards installing and configuring the MediaWiki platform for this project.
